🛴 Tier merges into Dott to serve 427 cities
Tier and Dott, two prominent European scooter and bike-sharing services, are merging under the Dott brand. The companies first announced their plans to unite in January 2024. This merger isn’t about creating a conglomerate of micromobility services but rather focusing on scale. With tight margins, the micromobility industry is challenging, and achieving scale is crucial to improving unit economics and expanding the fleet of available vehicles to better compete with industry leader Lime.
