🦾 EU EV sales jump 34% in January, securing 15% market share
The first signs of change are starting to stir in the European Union’s electric car market... Or at least, that’s what the latest ACEA data suggests. In January 2025, sales of new battery-electric cars surged by 34% year-over-year, reaching 124.341 units and securing a 15% market share. Three of the four largest markets in the region, which together represent 64% of all battery-electric car registrations, posted strong double-digit growth: Germany (+53,5%), Belgium (+37,2%), and the Netherlands (+28,2%). In contrast, France experienced a slight decline of 0,5%.
