German regulatory authorities have approved the partnership between Volkswagen and Rivian. The Bundeskartellamt has cleared the formation of a joint venture between the two companies and Volkswagen’s acquisition of a minority stake in Rivian Automotive Inc. Volkswagen and Rivian will each hold a 50% stake in the joint venture, which aims to develop the next generation of E/E architecture for electric vehicles.
